Thrive is a video-based online education program aimed at enhancing student wellbeing and resilience.
The program utilizes an engaging, online video series designed to optimize success and minimize attrition among undergraduate students. Thrive is evidence-based with proven outcomes. It provides students with knowledge and skills to recognize mental health issues and how to seek support on campus, develop relationships and better understand healthy relationship behavior. Thrive also provides tools for interaction among new groups, strategies for promoting civil interactions across communities, as well as equipping students with real facts about alcohol and drugs. The content was designed through the collaboration of university professors, researchers and practitioners with direct experience working with college populations.
All incoming students are encouraged to complete Thrive training prior to starting classes. The different modules included in the training program are centered around various topics that impact student wellness, resiliency and success. Modules include topics such as personal and campus safety and risk reduction, finding and supporting community at the Capstone and contributing to a healthy campus environment.
